White Space and Static vs. Dynamic

In my design development class, we are reading from our textbook, and I have learned more about white space and the distinction between static and dynamic objects within a composition. I learned that the moment a shape is brought into the space, it adds complexity to your composition. The space in your composition should not be considered empty, but it gives it a sense of flow and order. The book talked about moving beyond the perception of two-dimensional objects as static; it is essential to vary the amount of space between objects. The viewer’s eye is enhanced when the intervals between objects contrast more strongly with each other.
