Macro Photography

In this assignment we were given 5 categories to photograph using a macro lens.

Water Splash Photography

I picked a water-based product and dropped it into a tank. As the product dropped, I captured the photo to get a splash around the product while keeping the face visible. I then turned the photo into an advertisement.

Triptych Photography

For this assignment, we were to find images where the two outside photos were guiding the eye into the middle photo. The middle photo should be different from the other two photos.

Food Photography

With this assignment, I chose to do Kringla. We were asked to make the photo look interesting with elements that relate to the food. Kringla is a Scandinavian food. My family always has it at Christmas time, so I placed them on a Christmas plate.

Panning vs. Tripod Motion Photography

In these photos, I moved my camera while my subject was moving and took the photo. This should allow your subject to be clear while the background remains blurry. In the other photo, I set my camera up on a tripod and had my subject move in front of the camera. This makes the subject blurry, but your background is clear.

Falls Park

We were asked to go to Falls Park and shoot a couple of photos that resemble things to do there. Relaxation, Tourism, and Pet-friendly.

High Key & Low Key

With this assignment, we were to find a white object and place it on a white background. We talked about how this gives the viewer a feeling of clarity and simplicity. Then we found a black object and placed it on a black background. This makes the viewer feel on edge.
