In my Marketing Management class, we read up on an article about Nike. We looked at the pros and cons of their marketing strategy, what Adidas could do better to compete with Nike, company orientations within their business, and what needs Nike satisfies. Nike is a large business that markets not just in the U.S. but worldwide. They partner with atheletes which is a pro for them because consumers see their favorite athlete promoting Nike products, and it persuades them to buy it for themselves wether they need it or not. Nike empowers their consumers and strives to make them feel confident in their everyday life while also pulling at their emotions through advertisements, which is a great way to market.
