In Layout III we are discussing trapping. When toggling on Overprint Preview, you are able to see what the printer sees and what your final piece will look like.
In this example, we discussed how using 100% black and a colored box behind it will give the text a two-toned look. The top half of the “A” is lighter than the bottom. We then made an “A” that is rich black with 100% CYMK. With a rich black, the type is no longer two-toned.
