This morning I had a haircut appointment. My hairdresser is moving, and it was emotional saying bye to her and having her do my hair one last time.

Every year, a couple of weeks before Christmas, my family does a day of baking holiday cookies. We are each in charge of picking a cookie we want and then baking it. It is fun to all be together as a family with Christmas music playing and just enjoying each other before the holidays.

In my animation class we finished creating lyric videos. I made mine to the song “Remember Him that Way” by Luke Combs. I really enjoyed this project and getting the option to create to a song of our choice.

In photography class this week, we have been working on photographing clear and dark class bottles. It has been fun and a unique thing that I have never thought about taking pictures of. We learned all about the lighting last week, and today we got to take pictures of it.

My family and I had Thanksgiving a little later than the actual day. We catered in food from Honey Baked Ham and had turkey and a ton of other sides.

On Wednesday, I headed down to Yankton for Thanksgiving. My boyfriend’s family lives down there, and it was good getting to see everyone and catch up. It snowed over the weekend, so we were stuck inside, but it was fun getting to watch movies and just hanging out.

Yesterday we had cheer pictures for my high school athletes. It was really cool to see all the photography knowledge I know in use. The photographer was using the lights we used during studio photography, and I took mental notes about how the model should face the camera depending on the lighting.

In photography class, we are learning about studio photography. We have learned about Butterfly lighting, Rembrandt lighting, Loop lighting, and Split lighting. One hobby I have with my mom is watching Dancing with the Stars every Tuesday night. I look forward to getting that time with my mom and sharing laughs, and most importantly, singing to every song being played.
